The battle between ten talented opera singers will take place in the Gashouder in Amsterdam for eight weeks in the third season of the MAX program ARIA. They are accompanied by an NJO orchestra led by conductor Leonard Evers.
The Gashouder in Amsterdam is again the battleground for the third season of ARIA. Presented by Dionne Stax and judged by singers Rosmary Joshua and Tania Kross plus a weekly changing jury member, it will be revealed after 8 weeks who can call themselves the greatest opera talent in the Netherlands.
Young Professionals
A now familiar face on stage are the young musicians of the National Youth Orchestras of the Netherlands, in this case consisting of recently graduated young professionals who have previously participated in the pre-professional talent development programs of the NJON.
In this way, the NJON also helps this group of musicians to gain experience and build a network. In the field of modern music practice, this is a much-needed extension of the NJON's continuous learning path, which runs from young talent (from the age of 14) to the start of a professional career.
The ARIA program can be seen from Sunday, September 1, 2024 at 9:20 PM at MAX on NPO 1.
