After the audition
The results of the auditions for NJO and EUYO (first round) will be announced within 1 - 2 weeks after the audition.
After a successful audition, musicians can be invited for one or more NJO projects for which they have auditioned. The NJON is responsible for the placement of selected musicians in suitable positions. Only after they have successfully participated in one NJO project do candidates become official NJO members, with all the benefits of membership. Candidates selected for the reserve list may be invited to participate in NJO projects for which they have auditioned if vacancies arise. These musicians do not automatically become NJO members after successful participation in one project.
The results of the final round of EUYO auditions will be announced by the EUYO to all candidates around 1 February. Check the EUYO website for the dates and read all about becoming a member of the EUYO after a successful audition on the EUYO website.
Audition recordings and feedback
NJON records every audition on film. Candidates will receive a recording of their own audition. The recordings will be stored securely and will not be used for any purpose other than to enable consultation among jury members without the candidate's consent. Candidates are also not allowed to use the video for external purposes.
The EUYO also records the last round of auditions on film. These recordings will be used to allow for consultation between EUYO judges in the event of a discussion about the audition results. The recordings are stored securely and will not be used for any other purpose without the candidate's consent. Recordings from the EUYO will not be made available to the candidates.
NJO and EUYO 1st round candidates will have the opportunity to request feedback on their audition from our jury members in writing or by telephone. For the 2nd round of the EUYO auditions, there is no such possibility.
